Gary Wilkinson defeated by Junior Pot Black winner Mitchell Mann

Gary Wilkinson could only reach round 2 of the Pontins International Open Series (PIOS) event 3. He had a convincing 4-0 win over Paul Doody in round 1 but he came up against current Junior Pot Black Champion Mitchell Mann in round 2 and he was beaten 4-2 by the talented young brummie.

Lee Spick unable to make an impression in Grand Prix

Lee Spick won his first two matches but then lost his next five leaving him bottom of his group at the Royal London Watches Grand Prix qualifyers at Pontin's.

More success for Barry Stark at Pontin's

Barry Stark has won yet another trophy at Pontin's. He represented Pontin's in the International Cup Masters section along with fellow team-mates Mike Hallett and Les Dodd. Stark's team won all five of their matches losing only five frames in the process.

Lee Spick drawn against Jimmy Robertson in UK Championship

Mansfield's Lee Spick has been drawn against 21 year old Jimmy Robertson of Bexhill on Sea in round 1 of the Maplin UK Championship qualifying rounds which will be held between 23rd and 30th November at Pontin's. If he wins the match he will play Jimmy White in round 2.

Woollaston does the double over Notts players


20 year old Ben Woollaston of Leicester knocked Anthony Hamilton out of the Saga Insurance Masters qualifying. Woollaston, who had already knocked Michael Holt out of the competition in round 1, took the last 16 match 5-4.

Barry Stark wins Pontin's Masters

Barry Stark, who won the Super Sixties at Pontin's Spring Festival in May, celebrated another win in the Autumn Festival.

There was no Super Sixties event this time round but Stark, who plays at Stadium Leisure in Basford, lifted the Masters Trophy (over 40's) after beating Colin Norton in the final.

Michael Holt dumped out of Pontins Open at last 16 stage

Pegasus professional Michael Holt was knocked out of the Pontins Open at the last 16 stage by Daniel Ward. Ward won the match 3-2 and goes on to play Michael Wild in the quarter finals.

Holt had to beat Mark Hopgood, Gareth Coppack and Stuart Bingham to reach the last 16.

Stadium's Barry Stark was less successful, beaten in the first round by Stephen Craigie.
